Race director David Kelly is understandably thrilled to announce that Dame Kelly Holmes will be the official starter and will present awards at the Intersport Run Reigate Half Marathon, 10K and Canon Kids Races on Sunday, 18 September. The medal design has been finalised, routes planned, finishers T-shirts ordered and a new sponsor welcomed for the third edition of this successful event.
Double gold Olympian, Dame Kelly Holmes, will start the seven adults and kids races at Run Reigate 2016 as well as helping award race prizes and medals. Organisers are planning a charity raffle for limited places to attend a VIP reception to meet her in person.
The Run Reigate team has made improvements to the half marathon and 10K routes for 2016. This year the quaintly named Bosh Hill is avoided but as the race takes place in the North Downs there are still a few gradients for hill lovers. The tweaks produce a faster, smoother race for everyone with the usual noisy and exciting finish in Priory Park.
The inaugural Canon Kids Race has gone down a storm and places for the big day are flying out the door. There are only a few left so you need to register now if your child would like to take part.
Event sponsor, Nutfield Priory, has donated two passes for their spa and gym, plus a treatment and lunch, worth £180 each. To be in with a chance to win one of these prizes you must be signed up for Run Reigate 2016 and register your interest.
The new sponsor for 2016 is Martin & Co, local property specialists who are part of a national group with offices around the UK, offering a wealth of knowledge and experience whilst giving feel of a family owned and run business.
