Thousands of runners took part in the Sure Run to the Beat on Sunday 13 September, London’s only music 10K.
Made in Chelsea’s Fran Newman-Young was among thousands treated to festival-worthy live DJ sets as they pounded the pavements around Wembley. The unique event starts and finishes at Wembley Park, home to one of London’s most iconic sporting venues, taking runners through the streets of Brent, with music positioned throughout the route to keep runners motivated.
This year’s DJ roster included BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard, Capital Radio DJ and presenter of BBC’s The Voice Marvin Humes, and TV and Radio Presenter Jameela Jamil. After warming runners up and sending them on their way at the start line Danny commented: “Wow! That was an amazing day, what a party! It was great to entertain the thousands of runners here at Wembley Park today, the atmosphere was electric!
“After jetting from city to city all summer playing in some of the world’s most incredible venues it has been immense to top it all off today here in London!” After taking on the city streets, through four high intensity music zones, runners crossed the finish line where Marvin and Jameela were ready and waiting for them at the festival finish for an after party celebration.
