Nearly 200 runners put off Christmas shopping and took advantage of unseasonal conditions to take part in the Bushy Park 10k in London at the weekend. In dry, bright and benign temperatures, there were 185 finishers at the event on Sunday, hosted by Capital Runners.

The field was headed home by Tim Jones in 37mins 27secs, with James Scallan second in 38:53 and Matt Shurlock of Aldershot, Farnham & District third in 39:09. The leading female finisher was Claudia Manera of Ealing, Southall & Middlesex, who was 19th overall in 44:12.

The midpoint finisher was Simon Russell in 52:54. This was the fifth Bushy Park 10k this year. Capital Runners also host similar races in Richmond Park, of which there were six in 2012. Click here for the full results.
