The Love Luton Half Marathon took place on Sunday with 400 runners demonstrating their passion for the Bedfordshire town. The race was point-to-point on closed roads through the Bedfordshire town, starting at Conference and Leisure Centre, Venue 360 and finishing in St George's Square.
Dan Madams was first home in 1:19:04 just outsprinting runner-up Stephen Richardson (David Lloyd Redway Runners) who finished three seconds adrift. Third place went to Blake Vivian in 1:19:47.
The leading lady was Rachel Wood (Blackburn Harriers) in 1:27:33. The top three was completed by Paula Downing in 1:36:53 and Sarah Halford in 1:37:35. There were exactly 400 finishers from the initial 500-strong entry. The midpoint finisher was Sean Harvey in 1:57:59.
