A beginners' session for blind and visually impaired runners will be taking place at Sutcliffe Park in south-east London this Saturday (20 October). Organisers have received a great number of offers from runners willing to become guides but are looking for more blind and visually impaired athletes to attend the event.
Saturday's session is designed to facilitate participants in a social and relaxed environment, with runners of all abilities invited to come along. There will also be follow up support for all those wanting to join a local running group.
The event takes place at the athletics track at Sutcliffe Park, Eltham, south-east London from 1pm onwards. If you are interested in attending, contact Liz Purbrick by Thursday at 12pm. Or, for more information, visit the Run England website.
