The 2017 Spartan season kicks off on 8 April at the series’ newest venue of St. Clere, South East London. Steeped in history, St Clere was once owned by the father of Henry VIII’s second wife Anne Boleyn.
It has hosted visits from the likes of Mozart and Jane Austen. Situated on the scenic North Downs, Kemsing is only 40 minutes by train from central London and within sight of the M25.
St Clere promises to please weekend warriors, trail hunters and obstacle racers alike. Known for its hills, and boasting proximity to the Pilgrims Way, this beautiful yet challenging course will host the Spartan Sprint (5k+, 20+ Obstacles) suitable for beginners just starting out their fitness journey and elite runners wanting to push themselves for a fast time and test their limits. Already the biggest Sprint that Spartan Race UK has ever hosted this is one not to miss and lays down the gauntlet for a fantastic season ahead.
It will also see hundreds of kids descend from the surrounding areas for what promises to be Spartan’s biggest Junior race of the year. For more information, visit the Spartan Race website.
