Entries for London’s leading corporate running challenge, the Standard Chartered Great City Race, are now open. The 5k race, which this year takes place on Thursday 9 July, will see entries from 5,000 runners from 350 companies representing the industries of banking, accountancy, insurance, law and the media.
Places have been allocated for a limited period to those runners who have taken part in the race before. However, runners wishing to participate for the first time can register their interest now and find out more about the race by visiting the official race website.
In 2015, £10 from each runner’s entry fee will go towards the official race beneficiary ‘Seeing is Believing’ a global initiative that tackles avoidable blindness. Standard Chartered has also committed to match every donation pound for pound.
Standard Chartered Bank’s CEO Europe, Richard Holmes, said: “I’m thrilled to see the 2015 race entries are now open for the Standard Chartered Great City Race. The event is always a huge success with a fantastic number of professionals in London stepping up each year and supporting the Seeing is Believing initiative by running or cheering on their colleagues on race night.“
