Entry is now open for Surrey Half Marathon 2016. Sunday 13 March will see the third edition of the event which is offering early bird entry for the first 500 people to register.
Surrey Half Marathon is the biggest closed-road half marathon in Surrey. The run boasts a flat, scenic route with water stations, bands and plenty of local support. The event supports a number of charities and works with businesses in the community.
Macmillan Cancer Support is the event’s lead charity partner and runners are encouraged to use their Surrey Half run to gain sponsorship that will help Macmillan to provide specialist cancer care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer.
The half marathon event is accompanied by a kids race which will involve children aged 6-16 who will be taking to the roads to complete a 2km route before their big finish under the main race gantry.
Race director Toby Jenkins, said: “The Surrey Half Marathon 2016 will be a great event for runners, spectators, volunteer, local businesses and spectators alike. Do join us.”
