Since January this year, Sweaty Bettys across the country have been taking part in a challenge to run a relay around all the Sweaty Betty boutiques in England in what was dubbed The Sweaty Betty Great British Run!
That is, members of Sweaty Betty running clubs (and other fans that don't live near a boutique but logged their miles online) were challenged to run the number of miles that lie between all the stores (nearly 1000) in a fantastic Get Fit For Free initiative. Those taking part were able to chart the progress by watching an online barometer, making the challenge feel more real and motivating as the number of miles totted up daily!
From February 7-13 organisers tallied up all the miles logged and were excited to discover that not only did they achieve the 1000 mile target - but smashed it with an impressive 2883.64 miles logged - this meant that runners had relayed round all the boutiques nearly three times over! Bristol's Sweaty Bettys logged the most miles at 441, while Kensington and Bath weren't far behind on 302.5 and 302 respectively.
There are Sweaty Betty boutiques across the south of England, most of which have running and yoga clubs that anyone can join. They plan another exciting Get Fit For Free initiative later in the year - keep visiting our news pages or Sweaty Betty's own website for more information.
