It's a jungle out there!

Hampstead Heath Trail 10K

At first glance you would never guess our image above is from an event held barely four miles from Charing Cross that can be entered for a mere £15. Hampstead Heath Trail 10K is just one of around 100 value for money races in scenic parks and other attractive locations organised by – The Race Organiser.

The Race Organiser's portfolio of events continues to expand to meet demand for top quality events within Greater London and the South East of England. As we race into the second half of 2019, runABC South has been updated with the latest catalogue, with races from 5K to half marathon on all surfaces.

Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park might be the most inspiring venue with its London 2012 history at every corner and often attracts fields of 500 for the monthly 10K series that continues on Saturday (3 August) followed by 7 September, 5 October, 2 November and 7 December.

Regent's Park is acknowledged as the flattest and fastest course among the Royal Parks used by The Race Organiser. You can feel the burn this Sunday (4 August) or later on 18 August, 1 September or 8 December.

True cross country is hard to find in the summer but that is a challenge that is met by TRO with the popular Essex Cross Country 10K Series – there are two races remaining, at Hadleigh Country Park near Southend-on-Sea on 10 August, and Weald Country Park near Brentwood on 14 September. What better preparation for the winter season?

Finally, we take a closer look at Hampstead Heath Trail 10K. Hampstead Heath sits astride a sandy ridge and is one of the highest points in London, running from Hampstead to Highgate. Hugely popular among runners, this ancient London heath covers 320 hectares.

Saturday 14 September is your once a year chance to experience the delights of this historic location and you can run 10K, 5K or a fun run with entry fees from £6 to £15. This is Jubilee Hall Trust's 'Run for Your Life' event, raising funds for health charities.
