The Race Organiser, the London-based events company, has announced a great new series of 10k races at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park (October through to March). The events will take place on the first Saturday of the month at 09:30 with the race hub at Timber Lodge where the function rooms will house the bag drop and information desk.
All the races have a UK Athletics Road Race Licence. The first five male and female runners receive two tickets to the ArcelorMittal Orbit, the dramatic Anish Kapoor / Cecil Balmond sculpture. All finishers receive a medal and the goody bag contains a 20% discount on tickets for the ArcelorMittal Orbit viewing platform.
The theme of exciting venues is repeated with the Race Organiser's other 10k winter series which take place in the Royal Parks of London - Greenwich Park on 9 November, Regents Park on 14 December, Hyde Park on 18 January.
This is the second year of the three race Royal Parks series and again all events have a UK Athletics Road Race Licence with sponsor PHD Nutrition providing the drinks and prizes for the events.
The Race Organiser is also responsible for the unique Clissold Park Relay on 19 October. The relay is a 10k team event which sends four members along a scenic flat 2.5km lap of the park. Event organisers advise: "Just make sure the baton makes it round!"
Full details of all events can be found at the Race Organiser website.
