Next weekend will see the hosting of the TOAD Challenge, a unique three day endurance event over 90 miles where entrants can run or walk the full distance. The event begins in Oxford on 21 September and ends in Walton on Thames on 23 September with participants completing a distance of 30 miles each day.
The mostly flat route follows the Thames Path National Trail which takes in towns such as Maidenhead and Henley. The event is ideal for those who want to experience a new challenge at ultra-distance, people looking for an alternative to running marathons, those training for events like the Marathon des Sables or simply those who want to see some beautiful English countryside along the Thames.
Virgin Money Giving is the official charity fundraiser for the event. Alex Heasley, Head of Virgin Money Giving said: "The Toad Challenge is now in its fourth year and Virgin Money Giving is proud to be the official fundraising partner of such a wonderful event.
"Many competitors are raising funds for a range of good causes and are using Virgin Money Giving to help with their fundraising because of its simplicity. I would like to wish those who are taking part in this year's challenge the very best of luck in their fund raising."
