The Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 10K on Sunday, 5 February, 2017 is already shaping up to be one of the capital’s biggest and brightest events. As part of the build up there is a very special opportunity to join the organising team and one of Britain’s brightest and most inspirational coaches for a presentation and run tomorrow evening (Wednesday, 26 October).
Tom Craggs is an advanced personal trainer and athletics coach with a stable of athletes from beginner to elite level. He is a 2:45 marathoner who specialises in strength and conditioning and how it can help you to become a faster, stronger and injury-free runner.
Tom is lead coach for Tom Tom, Saucony Racing Team, High 5, Cancer Research UK, Laureus and RunningwithUs. His presentation, titled ‘Training in a Busy World’, will focus on how to balance lifestyle with effective running training during the challenging winter months.
The presentation will be followed by a run in the heart of the City past some stunning landmarks and will include running posture and technique checks and learning about the benefits of threshold training. The venue is City Fitness and Wellbeing Gym from 6:30pm to 8:15pm.
Earlier this year the London Winter Run saw over 15,000 runners raise more than £600,000 for Cancer Research UK. The 2017 race will start in Trafalgar Square and takes in many of London’s famous buildings plus many rarer sights such as artificial snow storms, penguins and polar bears!
