Billed as the toughest multistage race in Morocco, the Trans Atlas Marathon returns on 12-22 May 2017. Participants will have to contend with the rocky terrain, high altitude and brutal weather conditions to run across the Atlas Mountains.
UK road runners Colin Thomas and Gemma Hockett (pictured) will be leaving the smooth tarmac behind and taking on a new challenge of the 'lite' version of the race, which takes in 120km of the stunning Moroccan landscape, instead of the full 280km race designed for experienced ultra runners.
The race is small, about 100-150 participants, create a friendly and caring atmosphere with a distance and challenge to suit everyone.
