Sports mad Londoners and supporters from further afield will be delighted to hear the race that finishes inside the world famous Wembley Stadium returns for its hat trick on Sunday, 12 March 2017. The Vitality North London Half Marathon links Wembley with Allianz Park in an iconic route through North London’s roads and parks.
Previous winning times of 1:05:35 (Peter Limo) and 1:16:22 (Gladys Yator) in 2015 and 1:02:41 (Josphat Kemei) and 1:14:49 (Teresiah Omosa) earlier this year indicate the PB potential of this exciting course. Speed is also of the essence if you wish to secure a place in the 8,000-strong field at the early bird fee of £38 (affiliated) or £40 (unaffiliated) as standard entries are now open and will close at midnight on 13 February 2017.
Charleen Cannone, general manager for the organisers said: “We are delighted to be returning to Wembley for the third instalment of the Vitality North London Half Marathon. We are expecting more people than ever to be inspired to take part in this exciting running event for London, with a route that also takes in Allianz Park, home of the mighty Saracens!”
All runners will receive finishers T-shirt, fantastic medal, premium goody bag and post-race massage. The event is part of the Vitality Run Series and the official national charity partner once again is Macmillan Cancer Support.
Julie Harrington, operations director of Wembley Stadium, said: “We are delighted that the Vitality North London Half Marathon is returning to Wembley Stadium for its third year. It is always a pleasure for us to welcome the runners to the stadium as they prepare to cross the finish line under our iconic arch.”
