London’s workforce are getting ready to lace on their trainers and get fit at an Olympic Park-hosted 5k this summer. We Run London will take place at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford on Thursday 11 June 2015.
The event is being hosted by London Sport with support from Sport England and the Mayor of London.
We Run London works with London’s employers to encourage employees to be more active and become healthier, fitter, happier. Since its launch in 2008 more than 12,000 London-based employees have taken part and raised over £40,000 for charities in London.
Peter Fitzboydon, Chief Executive of London Sport, said: “The incredibly important role a healthy lifestyle plays in employees well-being in the workplace is well documented.
“From improving productivity, concentration and teamwork to simply having fun colleagues; running can help companies to achieve more, we are delighted to help them do so.”
Misha, We Run London 2014 participant, said: “We Run London is a great way to improve morale in the workplace, bringing people together and encouraging staff to start exercising more.”
London Sport has created a range of support packages to help London’s employers help their employees to become more active and give them the opportunity to take part in an event at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
