West London sees a great new 10k event this autumn with the staging of the Vitality WestRun London, the latest race in the Vitality Run Series, on Sunday 4 October. The event starts and finishes at Eel Brook Common, where the race village is located.
Organisers have created a memorable route which includes stretches on the Fulham Road, an official cheering station at halfway and a loop round Stamford Bridge, home of Premier League champions Chelsea.
The Vitality WestRun London looks set to have a strong social dimension befitting its West End location with entertainment and hospitality at the race village on Eel Brook Common. There is also a Family Fun Run on the bill - open to anyone over the age of four - which will add to the colour and and the community accent organisers are aiming to create.
Jamie Warren, from the race organiser Achieve Events, said: “Vitality WestRun London offers local families and the community the perfect way to kick off their Sunday, in one of London’s most attractive boroughs. With completely closed roads, this major new race promises its runners a fantastic flat route, cheering crowds on some of London’s most iconic streets and the perfect race village.
“Whether you’ve already got the running bug, or are a first timer looking to take on a fun new challenge with family and friends, this is a celebration for everyone that you won’t want to miss!”
Alzheimer's Society and Cancer Research UK are the official charity partners for the event as well as the Vitality Run Series charity partner Laureus Sport for Good Foundation.
