The 2016 Wiltshire 10 (Sunday 14 February) proved to be the biggest and best edition of the race to date with a 500 entry and the event hosting the South West Inter-Counties Road Running Championships. Jenny Spink of Bristol & West AC smashed the course record by nearly five minutes finishing in 56:18 to take fifth place overall.
Simon Nott of Calne Running Club led the field out of Melksham with a group of eight runners close behind which included Jenny Spink of Bristol & West AC and the Team Bath trio of James Donald, Thomas Davies and Mike Dooley. As the field approached Bewley Common on the outskirts of Lacock, Nott had managed to open up a winning lead over Ciaran Mcquade of Bristol & West AC and went on to retain the title that he last won in 2014 in an impressive 53:33.
All finishers received a specially minted heart shaped medal featuring the Wiltshire county flag in their goody bags which also included a copy of runABC South.
