LONGMAN is both beautiful & extremely challenging and requires participants to have trained purposefully to complete this amazing challenge.
Personal rewards will be great.. Enjoy exceptional views of the Isle of Wight and the Solent, the high heathlands of the Western Weald and Blackdown, the woods of Sussex and the receding ridges of the Chalk Downs themselves as well as the distant ridges of the North Downs and the plains below.
There is optional over-night camping & healthy barbecue at Devils-Dyke at the finish near Brighton with views over the South Downs, sea vistas & a laid back vibe to be enjoyed by those who wish to make this a weekend challenge. Soak up the atmosphere and talk about the day among friends.
LONGMAN brewery will be having a bar at the fish with the first beer on us!
All 100m & 65m events leave Saturday 6th September from the South Downs Ways at Chilcomb fields, Winchester, with routes following the bridal paths and footpaths of the South Downs Way to the stunning Devils Dyke near Brighton. Those completing the 100M can rest & recover at the campsite for the night before resuming the next morning, or continue onwards & take on the hilly 35M to Eastbourne seafront lawns in one magnificent effort! All events will coincide at destinations end to develop a spirit of comaraderie and fun over the whole weekend.
