Great Buddhist Trail Marathon

The Great Buddhist Master Trail Marathon is more than a run; this is all about a Nepalese experience.

Why is this a unique experience? Firstly we experience the intoxicating and exhilarating city of Kathmandu - See the sunrise from Swayambhunath Stupa (The Monkey Temple), experience a culture so different to ours at Pashupatinath where you will witness cremations alongside the Holy River Bagmati.

Then in complete contrast we will blow away the chaos of the city and make our way to the remote village of Manegau. The village sits at the foot of the Himalayas and the landscape is simply stunning. You will be welcomed by the locals and embraced into their community as you run or walk through their villages. They will prepare fresh traditional home-made Nepalese cuisine for us and then throw us a traditional Nepalese prize giving party under the stars in celebration of our efforts.
Memories made here will stay with you forever.

How do you help if you participate in this run? Every penny of your holiday goes directly to Nepalese people; It is a non-profit making event. Nepal is known to be one of the most beautiful countries in the world, yet it is the poorest country in South Asia. When we go there with our runners it creates much work and a pay packet for local men and women.
